The Good News
Why we're here, who God is, and why we need Him.
  • ONE LIVING AND TRUE GOD exists forever in three persons: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; this threefold God created all, upholds all, and rules over all.
  • GOD THE FATHER is an omnipotent and intimate Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. This is evident in that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, He hears and answers prayers, and He saves from death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
  • FREE WILL is inherent to God's creation of mankind; He gives us all the freedom to choose Him and obey Him or choose ourselves and deny Him. Doubting the goodness and perfection of God's instruction, Adam and Eve and the choice they made against God broke the relationship between God and man, resulting in spiritual death.
  • JESUS CHRIST, God’s only Son, is the foundation and cornerstone of the church, as His death and resurrection created a way to restore man’s broken relationship with God. His love for each of us was demonstrated on the cross by dying for our sins that were against God, and as He came to life again, invites us into that same spiritual victory over death. Jesus, living and ascended into heaven, now acts with the Father on our behalf.
  • THE CHURCH is the living spiritual body, of which Jesus Christ is head, and all persons made new are members and adopted children of God.
  • THE HOLY SPIRIT was sent from the Father and the Son to be our "Helper", to bring gentle conviction upon hearing the Word of God; to build the relationship between God and man; and to make new and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ for ministry. The Holy Spirit resides within us but is not of us, and is the communicator so we can speak to God and He can speak to us through prayer.
  • FAITH in Jesus Christ alone is the only thing we are saved by. We are not saved by how much we serve or love God (because that would be of our own works), nor are we naturally deserving of redemption from sin, but we are saved by God's love for us. This rescue is an example of God's grace. God offers us the free gift of salvation in sending us His only Son. Faith accepts Jesus as our Savior and our Lord. Faith welcomes the Holy Spirit into our lives to produce the fruit of the Spirit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control; so we can be capable of loving God, serving others, and reflecting Jesus.
  • THE HOLY BIBLE is the whole, consistent, and complete inspired words of God, written by men God chose in over a thousand years, and confirmed in the hearts of thousands of generations as the living, breathing, active Word of God. It invites us all to learn what God has planned for us as individuals and it confirms His character to generations. By this, we can have full assurance of God's love and salvation through His constant pursuit of our hearts.
How We Respond
We believe the whole Holy Bible is equally important, inerrant, and vital to living for Jesus. We teach verse by verse through the entire Bible at our Sunday services.
  • WORSHIP of God should be done with our entire lives both at home, at work, and at play because He is worthy of all praise, reverence, and love. We were all created for the purpose of worship and to be made whole through it. It is through worship that we respond to the love of God, not that He has need of our praise, but that He is deserving of our every breath.
  • THE BIBLE is relevant and is essential for man today. It teaches us the desires, plan, and character of God. We think it is important to teach it in public, study it in private, and use it as a guide for our daily lives. We think it is equally important to study the context of scriptures to apply them to our lives with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
  • IDENTITY IN CHRIST comes from knowing Jesus Christ to reflect Him in our lives as if we were clothed in Him. As a "Christian" or "little-Christ" We take off the identities the world has given us and take on the identity of God's fully redeemed, accepted, pure, and loved children. We follow Jesus' example only by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • SPIRITUAL GROWTH comes through giving our lives to God; through studying the Bible, through trusting in God, through obeying God, through regular prayer and relationship with God, and through fellowship and ministry.
  • FELLOWSHIP is essential to the growth of a Chrisian. God did not design us to dwell alone, but to be perfected through the challenge of living as Jesus did among others - with grace, gentleness, and truth. Because of Jesus' sacrifice, we have reason to fellowship with one another and proclaim our salvation to others to invite them into that same victory over death!
  • LOVE shows the reality of Christ Jesus and the character of God. Every believer in Jesus should aim to show a love to all men similar to how Jesus loved - willing to live, give, and die for others. By obeying Jesus through loving others, we fulfill God's greatest commandment. Loving others with our words and actions as God loves, is God made visible.
