HOSTING NEEDS:

● 18 year old female: she is new to the area and hopes to move in with her mom but needs a place to stay for a few weeks. Very sweet, doesn’t have substance abuse issues and LOVES fishing and the outdoors.
2 and 4 year old sisters: needing a couple day overnight hosting when mom has surgery in November.

 

DAY HOSTING:

Providing pockets of respite child care to support parents
throughout the week/month.
●  Single Mom, monthly medical appointments and needs someone to watch her
two toddlers. Lincoln City

 

SF PLUS MENTORING NEEDS:

Commitment to meet with youth a couple times a
month & to be a positive role model.

● 14 year old female (Siletz): Active youth, would benefit from a positive big sister role model in her life.
● 15 year old male (Lincoln City): Aloof youth wants to get out of his residence. Likes sports, being goofy and is easy going.
● 13 year old male (Newport), desires positive attention, enjoys skating and basketball, loves to eat food and do stuff outside. Enjoys graffiti art and drawing.
● a 15 year old male (Newport/Toledo), currently in ODHS custody, enjoys hanging out, doing outdoor activities, being around people who are funny and positive. .
● 14 year old male (Newport), needs a positive male role model to get him out of the house and model positive behavior and character. Teen enjoys swimming and football. He loves food and is a kind funny guy.

MOMMY &  DADDY MENTORING NEEDS:

● Single mom (Newport): Mom who’s coming out of isolation. Needs support as she finds a Christian community and works through her child welfare case. .
● Single mom (Newport): Artistic minded single mom. Seeking a faith based community, as mom works on setting boundaries and healing.
● Single Mom (Toledo): Single mom, non-religious, needs a healthy mom to walk with her through tough life situations.
● Single Mom (Newport): Single mom looking for an experienced mother to walk with her as she navigates finding housing and custody court with her ex.
● Mom (Newport): Mom who has a large family. Could use a supportive mom in her life. English is her second language. Very nice mom.
● Mom (Newport): Single mom seeking friendship, someone to get coffee with and go with her to her son’s sporting events. She’s very nice and working on personal growth as well as professional growth.
● Mom (Lincoln City): Young mom working through her addictions and the court system. Would benefit from a positive mentor to introduce her to a new community.
● Mom (Waldport): needs support with healthy boundaries and working to close her DHS case, she has an 8 and 15 year old.

JOB OPPORTUNITY:
Youth & Family Case Manager, Full time Position:

The Youth and Family Case Manager (Y&FCM) works as part of an interdisciplinary service team with participating clients. This position will assess the needs and support clients in developing an Individual Service Plan to accomplish their desired goals. Building positive supportive relationships with clients and families is central to the effectiveness of this position. The Y&FCM will incorporate the community at large when connecting youth with mentors and host homes. The Y&FCM plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining agency partnerships with schools, businesses, churches, and other local service agencies. Performs assignments with supervision or independently, requiring initiative and judgment in conduct of work. All work is performed in compliance with organizational guidelines and policies, as well as all applicable laws.
